       SPEAKER BIO:  Maria Speth, a shareholder in the law firm of Jaburg & Wilk,  P.C., practices in the areas of intellectual property, Internet law, and  commercial litigation. She focuses her practice on assisting businesses in protecting their trademarks, copyrights, trade secrets, information technology, and other intellectual property through preventative measures to avoid disputes and through aggressive measures when disputes arise. 
      
         Ms. Speth has authored articles on the topics of litigation and intellectual property, published in The Business Journal, the Arizona Journal of Real Estate & Business, and the Arizona Attorney.  In April of 2008 she was listed in the Top Lawyers list published by Arizona Business Magazine.
       
        TALK TOPIC:   This information-packed presentation will teach you how to  protect your writings against infringement and how to avoid claims of  infringement against you. Ms. Speth will cover basic copyright law,  licensing and publishing rights, the copyright registration process,
